What I'm Doing Now

This is a "now page", inspired by Derek Sivers. It's a snapshot of what I'm focused on at this moment in time.

Technical Enablement for AI

For over six years at Darktrace, I taught security teams how to defend against machine-learning-driven attacks—600+ technical training sessions delivered in English and Spanish, 16 courses built, certification exams designed, and materials kept current as the product shipped. Now I'm bringing that enablement craft to AI products: turning fast-moving technology into courses, hands-on labs, and demos that hold up in a live classroom.

I stay hands-on with the technology I teach. I've built a GPT-style transformer from scratch through the ARENA curriculum, do mechanistic interpretability work with TransformerLens (induction heads, ablations), and compete in Gray Swan's AI red-teaming and jailbreak arenas. Claude is my daily driver—much of this site's tooling and agent-readiness setup was built with Claude Code—and On Record (below) is a working LLM pipeline I run in production.

Building

On Record — Chicago '27 Mayoral Housing Tracker

An autonomous daily pipeline that discovers what Chicago's 2027 mayoral candidates are saying about housing, transcribes it with Whisper, and extracts positions with an LLM. The part I care most about is the oversight design: a second model from a different family verifies every quote and attribution, a human approves every publish, and every claim links back to its source. It's a working study in AI reliability—cross-model verification, human-in-the-loop review, and provenance you can audit.

Housing Advocacy

I co-lead Abundant Housing Illinois, and in April 2026 I testified before the Illinois Senate Executive Committee on the BUILD housing package.
